DESTINATION MANAGEMENT PLAN

The Destination Sydney Surrounds North Destination Management Plan has been updated. The DMP 2022 – 2030 exists to guide industry on priorities, strategies and required actions that will continue to drive the growth of the Visitor Economy at a regional level. The plan provides the foundations on which future local plans can be built and updated to provide a common vision. This document is an adaptable plan that will be reviewed annually by DSSN in consultation with Destination NSW and industry stakeholders. DESTINATION NETWORKS – GROWING THE REGIONAL NSW VISITOR ECONOMY TO 2023.

A suite of Destination Management Plans (DMPs) has now been prepared for the seven NSW regions to align with the VES, the broader NSW Government strategic context, and relevant regional and local government plans and strategies. The new regional NSW DMPs provide a collaborative framework to guide the work of the Destination Networks (DNs) and local, regional and state tourism stakeholders to grow, develop and promote the regional NSW visitor economy to 2030.

DNSW INDUSTRY WORKSHOPS

Destination NSW delivers the NSW First program to assist tourism businesses around the State to develop, promote and sell their tourism products. It includes face to face workshops and online webcasts that offer ‘how-to’ insights on a range of topics for the tourism industry, with events to be added to the calendar throughout the year.

Get Connected is Destination NSW’s website membership program. Simple and easy to use Get Connected membership is free and is open to all tourism operators within New South Wales.

With Get Connected, Destination NSW gives you the opportunity to showcase your tourism products on Destination NSW consumer websites FREE of charge and tap into over 2.4 million potential customers a month, both domestic and international – that’s 25.2 million people a year who are looking for tourism products.
During the 2017/18 financial year, Destination NSW, through visitnsw.com and  sydney.com websites, delivered more than 7.5 million leads to the tourism industry in NSW.
To take advantage of this service, you simply register on Get Connected and enter your product information, and your details will be listed on the following websites and databases:
visitnsw.com |  Destination NSW’s primary consumer website attracts over 11 million visits a year.
sydney.com |  This international website, has market and language specific versions for the following countries: Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Germany, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Singapore.
australia.com |  Tourism Australia’s website delivers information to customers worldwide, and is the primary call to action in Tourism Australia’s international tourism marketing and promotional activities.
The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW)  A centralised database of more than 40,000 Australian tourism product and destinations, supplying NSW product to 70 plus websites including australia.com.

DNSW IMAGE LIBRARY

The Destination NSW Content Library houses a collection of images, videos and editorial content showcasing destinations and experiences across Sydney and all regions of New South Wales.
The Content Library provides the tourism industry, travel media, government agencies and select commercial partners with a range of assets that can be used to promote New South Wales as a travel destination.
