Christina Tulloch – Chair

Christina is the CEO of Newcastle Commercial Fishermen’s Cooperative, overseeing 3 retail outlets and 6 depots across the Hunter, mid North Coast and Central Coast. Christina is also currently the Chair of Destination Sydney Surrounds North. Prior to starting with the Co-op Christina was CEO of Tulloch Wines.

Christina joined Tulloch in 2003 looking for a change in career after holding the position of Public Relations Manager for Murdoch Magazines, where she was responsible for the publicity for Australia’s highest circulating magazines of the time.

Initially working part time at cellar door, Christina soon discovered a deep love of the wine industry, the personalities within it, and the lifestyle revolving around food and wine.

Christina was an active member of the Australian Wine industry, having held various roles on national and regional bodies and was previously the first female President of the Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association.

Christina was responsible for growing Tulloch Wines into an enormously successful direct-to-consumer wine company which is considered a benchmark direct to consumer wine business in Australia, supporting 10 full time employees and another 10 casual staff.

More recently Christina has committed her time to the disciplines of wine tourism and the visitor economy. With significant Board and Chair experience, she has a firm grasp on corporate governance, stakeholder engagement and navigating the political landscape.

Christina’s love of working with primary producers, who take their raw product all the way to the consumer has seen her take on the role of CEO at the Commercial Fishermen’s Cooperative Ltd, the oldest commercial fishing cooperative in Australia, in 2025

Christina is married to a Texan, and lives in Newcastle, NSW with her husband and two high school aged children. She is a Chardonnay devotee with a love of all things (sea)food and wine.
